STAR Breakfast 2010 Highlights
The STAR Breakfast is NYWA’s major annual fundraising event. Proceeds from the Breakfast are used to develop and maintain a full calendar of programs and special events which further NYWA’s mission and support its diverse agendas, including Equal Pay Coalition NYC, Breaking the Silence to End Domestic Violence, New York Reads and Sees Together, Economic Empowerment and NYU/NYWA Certificate Program in Strategic Business Leadership.
Since 1992 the STAR Breakfast has honored women and men who exemplify the qualities embodied in NYWA’s mission to advocate and collaborate for the interests of New York women in public policy decisions that affect our lives, to increase women’s participation in public policy discussions on economic, political and social issues and to support member organizations in their individual efforts.
